Spirit 5 Lux - Great value for money! The Spirit 5 Lux is a comfortable, luxurious and practical 5 berth motorhome based on the superb Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Spirit 3 Lux - Based on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis in a roomy 3 berth configuration. The Spirit 3 motor home has the same layout and equipment as it's larger stable-mate, but without the luton bed. There is a double bunk at the rear and a single behind the cab. Cub 3 Delux - Fun 3 berth motorhome for the smaller family. Based on the reliable Toyota HiLux chassis. Ideal for long hires, this camper is a favourite with both young and old. The Cub has a toilet with shower and basin, galley with gas cooker and fridge/freezer and a double bunk at the rear with a single over the cab. Operated by Helderberg Camper Hire, South Africa.

Maui Spirit 5 Lux - The Spirit 5 Lux is a comfortable, luxurious and practical 5 berth motorhome based on the superb Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Discoverer Delux - Luxury 2 berth motorhome on a Mercedes Sprinter 315 CDI Chassis. Spoil yourself with this luxurious, well-equipped motorhome. You'll love the convenience of a fixed double bed and a shower which is separate from the toilet. There is a full galley with fridge/freezer. The Mercedes is smooth and easy to drive. Discoverer 2 - Fun & inexpensive 3 berth motorhome hire. Great for your budget. This camper is a favourite with backpackers and for long hires and is a great way to tour South Africa. The accommodation is designed for 2 adults and one child. Equipped with toilet and galley. Based on a Nissan Hardbody chassis. Operated by Bobo Campers, South Africa.

 

Discoverer 4 - Lots of space in this luxury 4 berth motorhome. Based on the Iveco Daily chassis. The Discoverer 4 is roomy and has a good flow. There is a double bunk at the rear and a double behind the cab. Equipment includes a toilet/shower unit, galley with gas hob and fridge freezer. Operated by Bobo Campers, South Africa.

 

Discoverer 6 - Large and roomy 6 berth motorhome on an Iveco Daily chassis. The Discoverer 6 is similar to the Discoverer 4 but with the addition of a luton (over-cab) bed. It is the largest motorhome available for rental in South Africa. Equipment includes a toilet/shower unit, galley and fridge/freezer.

Kea 5STM - The Kea 5 STM is a comfortable, luxurious and practical 5 berth motorhome based on the superb Mercedes Sprinter chassis. It has all the features one would ask for in a motorhome.  Easy to drive.

Discoverer X - Large, tough luxury 4x4 off-road camper on a Nissan Patrol chassis. All the creature comforts and high spec level. There is a fixed double bed, chemical cassette toilet, air conditioner and galley.

Bushcamper - Tough, reliable Landcruiser-based 4x4 camper. It is superbly equipped. The Toyota Landcruiser is the workhorse of the African bush and will go virtually anywhere. There is a folding double bunk and a luton space over the cab for extra storage.

Nomad - Based on the legendary Landrover Defender 4x4 chassis, the vehicle that opened up the African bush, the Nomad will go anywhere with confidence.  Fully equipped for camping, the Nomad has  sleeping accommodation for four adults in two roof-top tents and seating for five adults. Operated by Britz 4x4 Rentals, South Africa & Namibia

 

Trax - This is a modern 4x4 off-road camper. The self-contained camper unit is purpose-made and has sleeping accommodation for two adults in a pop-out bed and standing headroom thanks to a pop-up roof. It is based on the reliable Toyota Hilux chassis. Fully equipped for camping.Operated by Britz 4x4 Rentals, South Africa & Namibia

 

Safari 2 & Safari 4 - The Safari is based on the tough and reliable Toyota Hilux Double Cab 4x4. There are 5 seats. Sleeping accommodation is in roof-top tents, one for the Safari 2 and two tents for the Safari 4. The canopy at the rear is made of steel to safeguard your possessions. The Safari is fully equipped for camping.

Adventurer & Adventurer Lux - The Adventurer is based on the Toyota Hilux Single Cab. Sleeping accommodation is catered for by a double bunk at the rear in the Adventurer and a roof-top tent in the Adventurer Lux. The canopy at the rear is made of steel to safeguard your possessions. Voyager - The voyager is designed for the traveler not requiring camping equipment. If you need a 4x4 off-road vehicle but have planned to sleep at game lodges, guest houses or similar accommodation, then this is the vehicle for you. It is based on the tough and reliable Toyota Hilux Double Cab 4x4 and has a stell canopy at the rear. Operated by Britz 4x4 Rentals, South Africa & Namibia

 

STX Trax Delux - Modern 4x4 off-road camper based on the Nissan Hardbody chassis. The self-contained camper unit is purpose-made and has sleeping accommodation for two adults in a pop-out bed and standing headroom thanks to a pop-up roof. Operated by Kea Camper Hire, South Africa & Namibia.

Our head office is in Somerset West, on the outskirts of Cape Town. We have depots in Cape Town and Johannesburg and offer pick-up and drop-off facilities in all the major centres.

Free Pick-up/Drop-off

If you hire a Helderberg Camper Hire vehicle, we will meet you at the airport upon arrival (or at one of the airport hotels) and collect the camper at the airport on your departure, free of charge.

Fully Equipped

Helderberg Camper Hire vehicles are fully equipped for touring. All bedding, cutlery, crockery and braai (barbeque) equipment is supplied. All you need bring are your personal effects. Click here for a full equipment list.
