Note 1:  Helderberg Camper Hire

Insurance options:

Our (Helderberg Camper Hire) motorhomes and campers are Comprehensively Insured through Zurich Insurance Company. Basic Cover is included in the rental fee and has an excess of R29 000 (bond required). You can, however, reduce the excess that you would be liable for by taking one of the waiver options listed below:

W1: Comprehensive Cover, including CDW, Theft and Third Party Insurance @ R135 per day with excess of R17 500.
W2: Comprehensive Cover, including CDW, Theft and Third Party Insurance @ R170 per day with excess of R5 000.
W3: Comprehensive Cover, including CDW, Theft and Third Party Insurance @ R220 per day with NO EXCESS.

Holding deposit required with Basic Cover, W1 and W2. Conditions apply (contact us for further details or see our Terms and Conditions ).

One way fees (drop-off / collection):

Inside RSA R3000

Surcharges:

Namibia, Botswana: R1200

* Over-border hires only available for periods over 14 days

Transfer costs:

Free transfers to/from Johannesburg or Cape Town International
Airport or a hotel within 20km of the airport.

Additional items for hire:

Lapa (wind/privacy screen): R5 per day
Garmin GPS: R20 per day
Tent (four man) (includes 2 sleeping bags and 2 mattresses): R20 per day
Baby car seat (up to 2 years): R10 per day
Gas skottel (Disc barbeque): R10 per day
Child's car seat: R10 per day

Insurance options (Maui):

Basic cover is included in the rental fee and has an excess of R30 000 (bond required). You can, however, reduce the excess/bond that you would be liable for by taking one of the waiver options listed below:

CDW1: R180 per day reduces excess to R15 000 (bond required)
Inclusive Plan: R260 per day reduces excess/bond to R0

One way fees and country surcharges:
One way fee: R3500
Maun / Victoria Falls country surcharge: R4000

One way fee + country surcharge: R7500

Transfer costs:
Airport/hotel: R300 each way

Additional charges:

Sundays and public holiday delivery/collection: R350

Namibia: R50 per day additional

Additional driver fee: R65

Gas bottle refill: R165 per bottle

Fuel charge: cost + 10%

Note 3:  Bobo Campers

Insurance options (Bobo):

Basic cover is included in the rental fee and has an excess of R35 000 (bond required). You can, however, reduce the excess/bond that you would be liable for by taking one of the waiver options listed below:

CDW1: R140 per day reduces excess to R12 000
CDW2: R190 per day reduces excess to R7 000 (applicable from 8 days rental onwards)
CDW3: R230 per day reduces excess nil (applicable from 15 days rental onwards)
CDW3: Not applicable to Namibian rentals.

Basic cover is included in the Standard Plan rental fee and has an excess of R45 000 (bond required). You can, however, reduce the excess/bond that you would be liable for by taking one of the waiver options listed below:

CER1: R150 per day reduces excess to R20 000 (bond required)
CER2: R300 per day reduces excess to Nil

 

Standard Rate Plan includes: Unlimited km, standard (basic) insurance (excess R45000), single vehicle accident, second driver fee, cleaning fee, full gas, weekend/public holiday pick-up, airport transfers, VAT.

All Inclusive Rate Plan includes: Standard rate plan plus full cover insurance (zero bond/excess), single vehicle accident, windscreen damage, tyre damage, child seat, umbrella, contract fee.
